COLIN FARRELL (James Clayton) made his North American debut in "Tigerland,” directed by Joel Schumacher. Farrell garnered a Best Actor award from the Boston Society of Film Critics for his portrayal of Boz, a roughneck Texan recruit. He recently re-teamed with Schumacher to shoot the thriller "Phone Booth” and Touchstone Pictures' drama "Veronica Guerin,” starring Cate Blanchett. He will also be seen next summer in "S.W.A.T.” as Jim Street.

He was most recently seen in last summer's hit science fiction thriller, "Minority Report,” opposite Tom Cruise, and in the World War II drama, "Hart's War” opposite Bruce Willis and directed by Gregory Hoblit. He will next appear in "Daredevil,” starring Ben Affleck.

Farrell also appeared in the action-adventure "American Outlaws.” Other film credits include "The War Zone,” Tim Roth's directorial debut, and the gangster movie "Ordinary Decent Criminal” with Kevin Spacey, who suggested him for the role after catching Farrell performing in "In a Little World of Our Own” in London. For television, Farrell appeared in the BBC series "Ballykissangel” and the miniseries "Falling for a Dancer.”

Born and raised in Castleknock in the Republic of Ireland, Farrell is the son of former football player Eamonn Farrell and nephew of footballer Tommy Farrell. They both played for the Irish Football Club Shamrock Rovers in the 1960s.
