(K. C. Calden) was born in San Francisco and educated in Minneapolis. He made
his movie bow in the 1998 box office success Halloween H20: 20 Years
Later, for which he was honored with a MTV Movie Award nomination for Best
Breakthrough Performance. His follow-up role was in The Faculty, a
thriller that mixed elements of horror, science fiction and comedy.
In 2000, he played Trip
Fontaine in The Virgin Suicides, Sofia Coppola's film adaptation of
Jeffrey Eugenides' novel about four neighborhood boys obsessed with four
sisters in l970s suburbia. He next appeared in Blow Dry as a morgue
beautician embroiled in a rivalry between two competing small-town English
He starred in three
major releases in 2001, the World War II epic Pearl Harbor, O, a
modern adaptation of Shakespeare's classic tragedy "Othello," and
Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down. He subsequently starred in the romantic
comedy 40 Days and 40 Nights.
Hartnett will next be
