HOLLYWOOD HOMICIDE

LOU PITT (Producer) has been involved in the creation of numerous successful motion pictures during his long career as a top agent representing major artists. Prior to Hollywood Homicide, he produced Carolina, a romantic comedy starring Julia Stiles, Shirley MacLaine, Alessandro Nivola and Randy Quaid.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Florida, Pitt graduated from Kentucky Military Institute before moving to southern California and studying at Cal State Northridge. He then served as a military policeman in the U. S. Army reserves. Though originally on track to become a professional baseball player, he opted for show business and started out in the mailroom of the powerhouse Creative Management Associates (CMA). He was then employed at International Famous Agency (IFA), which became International Creative Management in 1975. During his long tenure at ICM, he headed the motion picture talent department and the television literary and talent operation. During his years as an agent, he represented such talents as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Lee, Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange, Helen Hunt, Dudley Moore, Howie Mandel, Rod Serling, Gale Anne Hurd, James Cameron, Gena Rowlands, Nastassja Kinski, Christopher Plummer and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, among many others.

In 1998, he established The Pitt Group, a management organization and production company with an ambitious slate of film projects. Continuing to represent new and established film talent in front of and behind the camera, he also represents such notable best-selling authors as Lorenzo Carcaterra (Sleepers, Gangsters), Brad Meltzer (The Tenth Justice, First Counsel) and Adriana Trigiani (Big Stone Gap, Big Cherry Holler).

His many community activities include service on the Board of Directors of the Venice Family Clinic.
