(Ruby) The Swedish-born star appeared in Hollywood Homicide at the same
time she was working on the popular television series "Alias."
Following her motion
picture bow in Ingmar Bergman's After The Rehearsal, she made a lasting
impression in Philip Kaufman's The Unbearable Lightness Of Being
opposite Daniel Day Lewis and Juliette Binoche. After Enemies, A Love
Story, for which she received an Academy AwardÂ® nomination as best
supporting actress, she starred opposite Robert Redford in Havana and
Richard Gere in Mr. Jones.
Subsequent film credits
include Romeo Is Bleeding, The Night and The Moment, Night
Falls on Manhattan, Polish Wedding, Commander Hamilton, The Mystery Man, The
Ninth Gate, Chocolat, Ignition, The Queen of The Damned, Darkness and The
United States of Leland.
Olin was trained at the
Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm where she appeared in "A Dream
Play" and "King Lear" for director Ingmar Bergman. Her other
roles at the prestigious theatre include "The Alchemist," "Paradisbarnen,"
"Juno and The Paycock," "Gross Und Klein," "Servitore
Di Due Padrone," "Restoration," "Nattvarden,"
"Summer" and "The Master And Margarita." She also appeared
in Strindberg's "Miss Julie" at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, also
under Bergman's direction.
