ABOUT A BOY

RACHEL WEISZ (Rachel) has firmly established herself as one of today's busiest actresses. Recently, she was seen starring opposite Brendan Fraser in the blockbuster hit, The Mummy Returns. She also appeared opposite Jude Law and Joseph Fiennes in Enemy at the Gates, directed by Jean Jacques Annaud, and in the independent film, Beautiful Creatures, with Susan Lynch.

Weisz shared the screen with Catherine McCormack in the acclaimed British comedy Land Girls and with hunky Vincent Perez in Swept From the Sea. She was also seen in: Mark Pellington's Going All the Way, with Jeremy Davies and Ben Affleck; Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty, with Liv Tyler and Jeremy Irons, and in the thriller, Chain Reaction with Keanu Reeves and Morgan Freeman.

These films followed fast on the heels of her smash stage debut in the London production of Noel Coward's Design For Living, which brought her the London Drama Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Newcomer. She also appeared in the West End production of Tennessee Williams's Suddenly, Last Summer for director Sean Mathias.

Weisz's theatrical background began while she was studying at Cambridge University. With two colleagues she formed the Talking Tongues Theatre Group, which performed numerous experimental pieces and won the prestigious Guardian Award at the Edinburgh Festival. She won rave reviews this past summer in Neil LaBute's The Shape of Things at the Almeida Theatre in London's West End.
