STAR WARS: EPISODE II ATTACK OF THE CLONES
Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominee, HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN (Anakin
Skywalker), broke into acting in an unusual way. His older sister, a Junior
World Trampoline Champion, was asked to appear in a Pringles commercial. When no
one was available to baby-sit the young Hayden, he joined his sister on a visit
to her talent agent where he was "discovered" and asked to appear in
commercials. By the time he was twelve, Christensen had a continuing role in the
first Canadian television soap opera, the daily hour-long Family
Passions.
Christensen also appeared in Sofia Coppola's
The
Virgin Suicides, Strike and In
the Mouth of Madness. Most recently, he starred in Life
as a House. For his performance as the drug abusing
teenage son of Kevin Cline, Christensen was nominated for a 2002 Golden Globe
and Screen Actors Guild award. He has also starred in the TV movie Trapped
in a Purple Haze and the Fox Family Network series Higher
Ground.
Currently, Christensen can be seen alongside Anna Paquin and Jake Gyllenhall
in London's West End revival of This Is Our Youth, a
play by Kenneth Lonergan (You Can Count On Me and Analyze This).
