Internationally renowned recording star and leading lady of the screen, JENNIFER LOPEZstars as Slim, an ordinary woman driven to the extremes of an action heroine in order to preserve her daughter's safety.

Lopez made an auspicious debut in "My Family/Mi Familia, garnering an Independent Spirit Award nomination and went on to win acclaim in the title role of "Selena" and garner widespread praise for her hip and riveting performance opposite George Clooney in Steven Soderbergh's "Out of Sight." Two of her subsequent films, "The Cell" and "The Wedding Planner," both opened as the #l film in America.

In January of 2001, Lopez made an indelible impression on the entertainment world by becoming the first female artist in history to have the #1 movie and the #l album in the same week – the release of "The Wedding Planner," coinciding with the debut of her second album release "J. Lo" at the top of the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

This year Lopez was also seen on screen as star of "Angel Eyes," directed by Luis Mandoki and co-starring Jim Caviezel. Her other film credits include Oliver Stone's "U-Turn," "Money Train" with Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes; Francis Ford Coppola's "Jack," with Robin Williams; "Blood and Wine" opposite Jack Nicholson; and "Anaconda"with Jon Voight, Eric Stoltz and Ice Cube. She was also heard in the Dreamworks animated feature "Antz," voicing the character ‘Azteca,' alongside Woody Allen and Sylvester Stallone. Next up for Lopez are Wayne Wang's "The Chambermaid" with Ralph Fiennes and Martin Brest's comedy "Gigli" with Ben Affleck and Al Pacino.

As a recording artist, her successful 1999 debut album, "On the 6," has sold more than seven million copies world-wide and earned her two Grammy nominations. Her smash single, "If You Had My Love," spent five weeks at No. l on the Billboard charts, and the accompanying video earned four MTV Video Music Award nominations. This year she won the best R&B Award at the MTV European Music Awards.

Her follow-up "J.Lo" debuted at #l on the Billboard Charts and sold 272,000 copies domestically and 2 million worldwide in its first week released. The first single "Love Don't Cost A Thing" went to #l on radio and has been the top requested and spun track on domestic and international radio.

Lopez was recently named Entertainer of the Year by the National Council of La Raza, the largest Latino advocacy group in the nation, presented at the American Latino Media Arts Awards for TV and film.
