BAD COMPANY

KERRY WASHINGTON (Julie) earned critical praise and a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress for her starring role as an upscale shoplifter in the film "Lift." Washington is best known for her role in the recent sleeper hit "Save the Last Dance," with Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas.

She made her motion picture debut in the independent drama, "Our Song" which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival. Washington has just completed filming a starring role in "Sin," opposite Gary Oldman and Ving Rhames, as well as supporting roles in "United States of Leland" with Kevin Spacey and "The Human Stain with Nicole Kidman. Washington is currently filming "Against the Ropes: The Jackie Kallen Story," playing Meg Ryan's best friend.

Washington is a graduate of the George Washington University.
