DARYL "CHILL" MITCHELL (Officer Hamm) will star this fall as a regular on NBC's hit series "Ed." Most recently, he appeared opposite John Travolta and Lisa Kudrow in the feature film "Lucky Numbers."

The actor who grew up in the Bronx and Long Island also starred in "Galaxy Quest," and "10 Things I Hate About You." His other film credits include "Home Fries," "Sgt. Bilko," "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate," "Boomerang," and "House Party."

Mitchell worked as a series regular on two hit NBC sit-coms "Veronica's Closet" and "The John Larroquette Show." His other television credits include the miniseries "Queen," the television movie "Toothless," as well as "Here and Now," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Law & Order" and "The Cosby Show."

In November 2001, Mitchell was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the mid-chest down. Despite this, he continues to act, both on-camera and in voice-over work.

Dividing his time between Atlanta and Los Angeles, Mitchell is married and the father of three young children. He is also currently working on a new rap album and will next be seen in Alexandre Rockwell's feature "13 Moons."
