THE COUNTRY BEARS

PETER HASTINGS (Director) makes his motion picture directing debut with "The Country Bears," following his success creating and executive producing "Disney's One Saturday Morning" for ABC.

Previously, Warner Bros. provided a home for his talents as a writer and producer of the animated series "Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs" and "Tiny Toon Adventures." Hastings won three Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award for "Animaniacs" and garnered his fourth Emmy as producer and writer of the prime-time spin-off "Pinky and the Brain."

Hastings was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburb of Haverford, Pennsylvania. He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston and the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, where he graduated as the Fender Outstanding Bass Player of the Year in 1985.

Hastings was a company member at the famed Groundlings Theatre in Hollywood for four years, writing and performing sketch comedy and improvisation. Hastings' exposure with the Groundlings led to acting roles and a string of national commercials before he landed several writing jobs, including at Nickelodeon and other studios.
