An Oregonian by birth,
son of Viennese parents, TOM EVERETT (Senator Dick Hotchkiss) is a
lifetime member of The Actors Studio, recipient of an ITT International
Fellowship (in the Fulbright Competition) to The London Academy of Music and
Dramatic Arts, an MFA graduate of New York University's School of the Arts,
cellist, guitarist, and country singer-songwriter featured on the RCA album Tom
Everett: Porchlight On In Oregon and the independent CD entitled Still
Waters (A Collection of Years).
Everett spent 14 years
in New York studying privately with a variety of teachers, appeared in five
Broadway shows and acted in several top off-Broadway venues. His favorite
experiences included being directed by the legendary George Abbott in the comedy
Winning Isn't Everything and essaying the lead role of Evan in Joe
Hindy's Carnival of Glorie. Everett also spent a season with The
American Shakespeare Theatre and worked at Arena Stage, McCarter Theatre, Walnut
Street Theatre, Cincinnati Playhouse and the Eugene O'Neill Playwright's
Conference.
Highlights of Everett's
film work include a wide variety of co-starring roles in Dances With Wolves, Air Force One,
My Fellow Americans, Vaya Con Dios (aka
Hard Time Romance), Best of the Best, Prison, Leatherface, the
upcoming Mi Amigo, Crazy as Hell, and cameos in The Goodbye Girl, Beverly Hills Cop,
Die Hard 2, Thirteen Days and Pearl
Harbor. On television, Everett guest-starred in the premiere pilot of The
Beast; other guest appearances include Alias, The District, C-16, Space: Above and
Beyond, Birdland and Cheers,
including recurring roles on Picket Fences and Profiler; his
movies-of-the-week include, among others, Last Rites, Crash Landing, To Heal A Nation and
Gore Vidal's Billy the Kid.
