Golden Globe Award winner and Academy Award nominee KATE HUDSON made
her studio film debut in "200 Cigarettes." She was seen next opposite
Christina Ricci and Casey Affleck in Morgan J. Freeman's "Desert
Blue," followed by the psychological drama, "Gossip."
Hudson's performance in Cameron Crowe's "Almost Famous" earned her
a Golden Globe Award, an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress and
a BAFTA nomination as Best Actress, along with numerous other honors and
recognition around the world. Firmly established as one of Hollywood's most
exciting young stars, Kate co-starred with Richard Gere in Robert Altman's
all-star "Dr. T and the Women" and played the female lead in the Irish
romantic comedy, "About Adam."
She has completed filming Merchant-Ivory's contemporary comedy, "Le
Divorce," in Paris, with an eclectic international cast that includes Naomi
Watts, Glenn Close, Stockard Channing, Sam Waterston, Leslie Caron and Stephen
Fry. She will be seen next opposite Matthew McConaughey in the romantic comedy.,
"How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days," and is set to start production on
"Alex and Emma," opposite Luke Wilson, for director Rob Reiner.
Hudson is a principal in Cosmic Entertainment, a production entity comprised
of her won banner, Birdie Productions, as well as the production companies of
Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell and Oliver Hudson. The company is actively producing
and developing over a dozen projects for film and television.
