FOUR FEATHERS

Already a highly regarded young British actor, MICHAEL SHEEN is quickly translating his popularity and critical acclaim in the theatre to the big screen.

Classically trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he won the SWET/Laurence Olivier Bursary Award, Sheen  made his stage debut in the West End production of "When She Danced" for director Robert Ackerman. Soon after, under the direction of Declan Donellan, Sheen was nominated for the Ian Charleson Award for his work in "Don't Fool With Love."

Michael continued his theatre career and was nominated a second time for the Ian Charleson Award for "Henry V" at RSC. He returned to the Royal National Theatre for the production of "Look Back in Anger" for which he was nominated for the Olivier Ward as well as the Evening Standard Award. Sheen complemented his theatrical career with roles in such films as Oliver Parker's "Othello" and Brian Gilbert's "Wilde," with Jude Law and Vanessa Redgrave, and in Stephen Frear's "Mary Reilly." His most recent theatrical success, playing Mozart in Sir Peter Hall's "Amadeus," brought him from the West End to Broadway, and earned him a nomination for the Outer Critic's Circle Award along with the accolades of American audiences.

Last year, Sheen landed the starring role in "Heartlands' For director Damian O'Donnel. On its heels, he was cast as the conniving and savvy 14th-century English ruler in Paramount's highly anticipated feature film, "Timeline," opposite Paul Walker and Frances O'Connor for director Richard Donner.

Sheen is a uniquely talented actor, busy building a most impressive career. He presently spends his time between Los Angeles and London.
