BECK (Director) helmed
his first full-length feature film with Dark Castle Entertainment's Thirteen
Ghosts. Previously Beck served as visual effects art director
for such films as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade; The Hunt for Red
October and the Academy Award-winning The Abyss.
and raised in southern California, Beck attended the Art Center College of
Design in Pasadena with the intention of becoming an illustrator.
1983 Beck joined Robert Abel & Associates, then the world leader in visual
effects for commercial production. After winning several Clios there, he
was offered the chance to re-establish Industrial Light & Magic's art
department in 1988. Beck went on to become one of the world's most
acclaimed commercial directors. Consistently ranked among the best in the
commercial world each year, Beck's work has garnered more than 50 awards.
