INTOLERABLE CRUELTY

Academy Award winner CATHERINE ZETA-JONES (Marylin Rexroth) recently starred in the Oscar-winning Chicago. She garnered an Oscar as Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of the murderous Velma Kelly. Chicago also starred ReneĆ© Zellweger and Richard Gere. Additionally, for her performance in Chicago, Zeta-Jones took home the year's SAG Award and Critic's Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress and a BAFTA Award for Best Actress. 

In 2001, Zeta-Jones earned a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of a conflicted wife of a drug-runner in Steven Soderbergh's Traffic. The cast of the critically praised film received a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by the Cast of a Theatrical Motion Picture

Zeta-Jones captured international recognition in the action-adventure film The Mask of Zorro, in which she starred opposite Antonio Banderas and Anthony Hopkins. The movie opened to strong reviews and went on to become one of the year's biggest box office successes. In 1999, she continued to wow audiences in the romantic-thriller Entrapment, starring opposite Sean Connery. She also starred in the 2001 hit comedy America's Sweethearts, with John Cusack and Julia Roberts.

Born in Wales, Zeta-Jones launched her career on stage in London starring in the musical 42nd Street. She then went on to star in the popular television series The Darling Buds of May, based on the novels of H.E. Bates. 

Zeta-Jones is married to actor Michael Douglas. They have a son, Dylan Michael Douglas, and a daughter, Carys Zeta Douglas.
