GERARD MCSORLEY has been a celebrated actor in Dublin Theatre for over thirty years. For the Abbey theatre he created the role of Michael in Brian Friel's "Dancing at Lughnasa” in London's West End and on Broadway. In the early '90s he began working in film and over the next ten years worked with many major movie directors such as Jim Sheridan, Neil Jordan, Alan Parker, Atom Egoyan, Mel Gibson, Mike Newell, John Irvine, Karel Reisz and Joel Schumacher. His films include "In the Name of the Father,” "Michael Collins,” "Angela's Ashes,” "The Boxer,” "Bloody Sunday,” "Braveheart” and many more. Recent TV roles include Fr. Todd Unctious in Channel 4's "Fr. Ted.”
