TONI COLLETTE (Emily French) was born and raised in Australia, and became an international star with her indelible performance as Muriel Heslop in "Muriel's Wedding.” She subsequently appeared in the motion pictures "Cosi,” "The Pallbearer,” "Emma,” "Clockwatchers,” and "Velvet Goldmine” before being cast as Lynn Sear in "The Sixth Sense” for which she earned an Academy Award® nomination as Best Supporting Actress. Among Collette's other feature film credits are "Changing Lanes,” "About a Boy” (for which she received a BAFTA nomination), "The Hours,” and the comedy "Connie and Carla.” She will soon be seen starring in "In Her Shoes.”

Ms. Collette has also appeared on Broadway. In 2000, she received a Tony Award® nomination for her role as Queenie in the musical "The Wild Party.” Among her other theatre credits is the role of Sonya in a production of "Uncle Vanya.”

Collette resides in Australia, and was a student there at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
