PETER STRAUSS (President Sanford) is a versatile leading man acclaimed for his many film, television and stage roles. He won an Emmy Award for his work in the television film "The Jericho Mile" and has been nominated for three additional Emmy and five Golden Globe Awards during a career that spans five decades. He made his film debut in 1969 in Hail, Hero and went on to appear in such films as Soldier Blue, The Last Tycoon, The Trial of the Catonsville Nine, The Secret of NIMH, Flight of the Black Angel and Nick of Time. He became a television star appearing in the miniseries "Rich Man, Poor Man," and went on to leading roles in such TV productions as "Young Joe, the Forgotten Kennedy," "Masada," "Kane and Abel," "Tender is the Night," "Seasons of Love,” "Men Don't Tell,” "Joan of Arc” and "The Yearling.” He made his Broadway debut in "Einstein and the Polar Bear" in and recently returned to the New York stage in Jon Robin Baitz's "Chinese Friends" and Primary Stages' "Sabina.”
