LORDS OF DOGTOWN

REBECCA DE MORNAY ("Philaineā€¯) made her acting debut starring as a seductive call-girl in the immensely popular film Risky Business. Her strikingly diverse film roles since then include her internationally acclaimed portrayal of a chillingly twisted nanny in the boxoffice smash The Hand That Rocks The Cradle.

De Mornay's other films include Runaway Train, A Trip To Bountiful, Testament, Dealers, And God Created Woman, Feds, Backdraft, Guilty As Sin, The Three Musketeers, Never Talk To Strangers and The Winner (both of which she also executive-produced), Identity, Raise Your Voice, and a cameo that opens the upcoming comedy The Wedding Crashers with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn.

On television, De Mornay starred in a multi-episode story arc for the last year's final season of The Practice, and also in the Pulitzer-prize winning drama Getting Out by Marsha Norman, the mini-series An Inconvenient Woman by Dominick Dunne, and Stephen King's mini-series The Shining, all for ABC; she also starred in CBS' Night Ride Home, and in a multiepisode story arc for NBC's E.R. Other network and cable television includes Thick as Thieves, The Right Temptation, Blindside, and By Dawn's Early Light, all for HBO; USA network's The Con, Lifetime's Range of Motion, Showtime's A Girl Thing, the CBS mini-series Salem Witch Trial, and NBC'S Boomtown.

On stage, De Mornay has starred in Garson Kanin's classic comedy Born Yesterday (Pasadena Playhouse); as the demented Charlotte Corday in Peter Weiss' Marat/Sade (Williamstown Festival); and as Anna in Patrick Marber's Closer (Mark Taper Forum.) De Mornay made her directing debut with The Conversion (w/John Savage and Frank Whaley), a segment of the anthology series The Outer Limits on Showtime. She has also written a screenplay called Lilith.

De Mornay was born in northern California, but raised almost entirely in Europe, graduating from high school in the Austrian Alps. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her two daughters Sophia and Veronica.
