Prior to directing The Dukes of Hazzard, Chandrasekhar directed, co-wrote, and starred in 3 Broken Lizard feature films: Club Dread, Super Troopers (the first major acquisition of the 2001 Sundance Film Festival, distributed by Fox Searchlight and now one of Fox's most popular DVD titles); and the micro-budgeted Puddle Cruiser (Sundance selection and Grand Jury prize winner at the Hamptons Film Festival), which introduced the world to the comic voice of Broken Lizard.

In addition to his feature film work, Chandrasekhar has directed various single camera television shows, including several episodes of the Emmy Award winning Arrested Development, Cracking Up, Oliver Beene, Andy Richter Controls the Universe and Undeclared.
