FRANKY G (Xavier) was born Francisco Gonzalez in Brooklyn, the middle of seven children. A former boxer who once hoped to find a career in pro football (he played for the semi-pro Long Island Tomahawks), Franky answered an ad looking for actors, expecting to perhaps land a role as an extra. Instead, he was cast as a lead in the film "Manito” directed by Eric Eason, which was a hit at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. Forced to shorten his name because there were already several Frank Gonzalezes listed with SAG ("I'm not a rapper,” he says), he quickly got an agent and landed roles in the features "Confidence,” "The Italian Job” and "Wonderland” and in the FOX series "Jonny Zero.”
