TOM DEY (Director) grew up in New England and studied philosophy, religion, and film at Brown University. He graduated in 1987 and continued his pursuit of film at the Centre des Etudes Critiques in Paris.

In 1993 Dey (pronounced "Dye") received a M.F.A. from the American Film Institute, and a year later singed with Ridley Scott Associates to begin his career as a commercial director.

In 1998 Dey made the transition to feature filmmaking with Disney's "Shanghai Noon," a comedy western starring Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson and Lucy Liu and followed it up with the action comedy "Showtime," starring Rober De Niro and Eddie Murphy.
