In a relatively short span of time, JACINDA BARRETT (Jenna) has burst upon the scene and left an indelible mark as a beautiful and extremely talented performer. In addition to "The Last Kiss,” Barrett can be seen in three very different roles this year that will showcase her range.

Next up is the Todd Phillips-directed comedy "School for Scoundrels,” which also stars Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Heder. Barrett plays the object of affection of both men. The film will be released by The Weinstein Company on September 29th.

In addition, Barrett will be seen in Mira Nair's drama, "The Namesake,” an adaptation of the novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jhumpa Lahiri. The movie, which will open on September 20th, is the story of the Ganguli family whose move from Calcutta to New York evokes a lifelong balancing act to meld to a new world without forgetting the old.

Barrett currently stars in Wolfgang Petersen's adaptation of "Poseidon,” and was most recently seen opposite Joaquin Phoenix and John Travolta in "Ladder 49,” and in "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason” starring Renee Zellweger. In 2003, Barrett received critical acclaim for her performance in Robert Benton's "The Human Stain,” which co-starred Nicole Kidman, Sir Anthony Hopkins, and Ed Harris. Her notable performance was awarded the ‘Breakthrough Award' from Movieline Magazine.

Barrett got her start in her hometown of Brisbane, Australia. She studied acting at the British Academy of Dramatic Art in Oxford, England, an experience she used in her first film project, Dave Semel's, "Campfire Tales.” Television credits include Dick Wolf's WB series, "DC,” and John Wells' series, "Citizen Baines” for CBS. One of People Magazine's ‘50 Most Beautiful People', Barrett also has her private pilot's license.
