GILLIAN ANDERSON is an award-winning film, television, and theatre actress whose lauded performances include the roles of Special Agent Dana Scully in FOX Television's long-running and critically-acclaimed drama series "The X Files” and the ill-fated socialite Lily Bart in Terence Davies' masterpiece, THE HOUSE OF MIRTH. Her recent film roles include the Irish hit THE MIGHTY CELT, which has been seen in the U.S on the Sundance Channel and an amusing cameo in Michael Winterbottom's A COCK AND BULL STORY. She has also riveted audiences as Lady Dedlock in the highly successful BBC production of Charles Dickens' "Bleak House,” which recently aired on PBS's Masterpiece Theatre. She will next be seen in Dan Reed's thriller STRAIGHTHEADS. In 2003, Anderson won the Theatregoers' Choice Best Actress Award for her West End debut in Michael Weller's "What the Night Is For.” She went on to star in Rebecca Gilman's play "The Sweetest Swing in Baseball” at London's Royal Court.

Anderson was launched to superstar status in 1993 with "The X Files” series, earning her a Golden Globe (1999), an Emmy (1997), the Saturn Award (1997) and two SAG Awards (1996 and 1997), among numerous other accolades.
