AMELIA WARNER (Maggie Barnes) was born in Liverpool and moved to London as a child, where she studied at the Royal Masonic School for Girls and the College of Fine Arts in London, before going on to do a History of Art course at Goldsmith's College in London. During this time, Amelia started acting as a member of the youth group at the Royal Court Theatre. She was first seen on television screens in 1998 in an episode of KAVANAGH QC before going on to play Lady Cecilia in ARISTOCRATS and the teenage Fanny in MANSFIELD PARK in 1999.

She first really caught the industry's attention with her role in the multi award-winning film, QUILLS. Filmed in 2000 and set in 18th Century France, Amelia played Simone, the beautiful mistress of Michael Caine's Marquis de Sade. Her co-stars included Geoffrey Rush, Kate Winslet, Joaquin Phoenix and Michael Caine. 

Also in 2000, Amelia played Antonia in the TV adaptation of DON QUIXOTE. Directed by Peter Yates, Amelia starred alongside Bob Hoskins, Isabella Rossellini and Vanessa Williams. 

Ms. Warner went on to play the lead in the 2000 BBC film LORNA DOONE, based on Richard Blackmore's classic tale of rivalry and revenge. Her co-stars included Martin Clunes, Richard Coyle and Aidan Gillen, directed by Mike Barker. In 2003 Amelia started work on the romantic comedy LOVES BROTHER, directed by Jan Sardi and shot on location in Italy and Australia. Amelia played the beautiful Rosetta, the love interest of two feuding brothers, the insecure Angelo (Giovanni Ribisi) and his handsome brother Gino (Adam Garcia.) 

In 2005, Amelia moved to New York to film WINTER PASSING, a drama directed by Adam Rapp. She played Shelly, an ex-grad student to moves into the house of a reclusive novelist whose daughter returns to the house to find it has been invaded. Will Ferrell, Ed Harris and Zooey Deschanel also star in this sinister tale of family conflict. The Amazon Editor Review said of Amelia's performance; ‘Warner's clear-eyed Shelly is the true heart of the story.'

In 2005 Amelia's next film, STONED, chronicled the life and suspicious death of Rolling Stones co-founder Brian Jones. Amelia played Janet Lawson, who discovered the body of Brian on the notorious night that he died in his swimming pool. Directed by Stephen Woolley, the film also stars Leo Gregory, Paddy Constantine, David Morrissey and Ben Whishaw. Also in 2005 Amelia appeared in science fiction thriller ÆON FLUX, directed by Karyn Kusama, alongside Charlize Theron, Jonny Lee Miller, Sophie Okonedo, Frances McDormand and Pete Postlethwaite. Amelia's next role was that of Elyssa Ferris in the 2006 film, ALPHA MALE, the story of family life, family politics, repressed emotions, great love and devastating loss. She stars alongside Danny Huston, Patrick Baladi and Jennifer Ehle.

In March 2007, Amelia was seen in GONE, directed by award-winning Ringan Ledwidge, making his first feature film. Amelia plays Sophie, the unsuspecting girlfriend of Alex, played by Shaun Evans, a young traveller. The young British couple, travelling through the Australian outback, become befriended by a mysterious American who is not as friendly as he first appears. The film was shot on location across Australia.

Amelia is currently in Toronto filming the remake of the cult Filipino horror The Echo, directed by Yan Laranas. Amelia plays the female lead opposite Jesse Bradford. The film is due for release in 2008.
