THE SEEKER THE DARK IS RISING

JIM PIDDOCK splits his time between acting, writing, and producing. As an actor, he starred in several Broadway shows NOISES OFF, PRESENT LAUGHTER, DESIGN FOR LIVING before moving to Los Angeles. He's probably best known for his appearances in the improvised Christopher Guest movies BEST IN SHOW, A MIGHTY WIND and FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. Other film appearances include THE PRESTIGE, EPIC MOVIE, AUSTIN POWERS IN GOLDMEMBER, INDEPENDENCE DAY, MULTIPLICITY and LETHAL WEAPON 2. He was also seen recently in three independent films - A DIFFERENT LOYALTY (which he also wrote and co-produced), LOVE FOR RENT and SEE THIS MOVIE. He will be soon be seen prominently in Dimension's WHO'S YOUR CADDY?, to be released in August 2007. On television, Jim has appeared regularly on MAD ABOUT YOU and THE DREW CAREY SHOW, guest starred on numerous shows such as LOST, MONK, FRIENDS and ER and was in the award-winning HBO mini-series FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON. 

As a writer and producer, Jim has recently had two very diverse screenplays produced. THE MAN, starring Samuel L Jackson and Eugene Levy was an action-comedy made by New Line and A DIFFERENT LOYALTY, a Cold War romantic thriller starring Sharon Stone and Rupert Everett. He has also written and co-produced a sitcom for the BBC called TOO MUCH SUN, starring Mark Addy and Lee Majors. Other film writing credits include the thrillers TRACES OF RED (Samuel Goldwyn Company) and ONE GOOD TURN (First Look Pictures). He has also written one-hour episodics for US television and several half-hour pilots. He has just finished his first play, called SEPARATED and will soon be producing TOOTH FAIRY for Twentieth Century Fox, based on his original story, with Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel writing the screenplay and RUSSELL, filming in 2007 in Australia and the US, which he also co-wrote.
