SLEEPWALKING

WILLIAM MAHER (Director) was born in Dublin and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film, working in a variety of capacities for over the past 10 years. For the past seven of those years, Maher honed his craft in the field of visual effects, working with such acclaimed directors as Tim Burton, Richard Donner, Bryan Singer and Joel Schumacher. His credits with those directors include X-Men, X-Men 2, Lethal Weapon 4, Conspiracy Theory, Batman & Robin, Mars Attacks! and Eraser. 

Through his key role in the visual-effects department, Maher gained exposure to the entire filmmaking process, from early pre-production through the final days of post-production. Maher has directed aerial shoots, splinter units and has worked with numerous actors and stunt performers while directing second unit scenes.

He worked as second unit director as well as visual effects supervisor on the production of The Chumscrubber, written by Sleepwalking screenwriter Zac Stanford.

Sleepwalking is Maher's directorial debut.
