TOM CRUISE (Claus von Stauffenberg) has achieved unprecedented success as an actor, producer, and philanthropist in a career spanning over two decades. He is a three-time Academy Award® nominee whose films have earned in excess of six billion dollars worldwide – an achievement to which no other actor has come close.

Cruise was most recently seen as film executive Les Grossman in Ben Stiller's comedy smash Tropic Thunder. In 2007 he appeared in Robert Redford's ensemble political thriller Lions for Lambs, and prior to that he reprised his role as special agent Ethan Hunt in J.J. Abrams' Mission Impossible: 3. In the 27 years since he became an actor, Cruise has worked with a remarkable list of film directors, including Francis Ford Coppola, Curtis Hanson, Franco Zeffirelli, Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Martin Scorsese, Roger Donaldson, Barry Levinson, Oliver Stone, Ron Howard, Rob Reiner, Sydney Pollack, Neil Jordan, Brian De Palma, Cameron Crowe, Stanley Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson, John Woo, Michael Mann, and Steven Spielberg. Cruise received Academy Award® nominations for Best Actor for Born on the Fourth of July and Jerry Maguire in addition to a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Magnolia. In addition to nods for Risky Business and A Few Good Men, he has won three Golden Globes: Best Actor, Born on the Fourth of July; Best Actor, Jerry Maguire; and Best Supporting Actor, Magnolia.

While continuing to explore new artistic challenges, Cruise has utilized his professional successes as a vehicle for positive change, becoming an international advocate, activist and philanthropist in the fields of health and education. Recently he was honored by the Mentor-LA organization for his work on behalf of the children of Los Angeles and around the world.

Cruise lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Kate, and his three children.
