With her innate sense of comedy and girl next-door charm, ESSENCE ATKINS Atkins (Charity) is one of Hollywood's sought after talents. As a series regular on four on-air series, and numerous movie roles under her belt, Atkins star continues to rise.

Atkins starred as Dee Dee Thorne, Mona's younger half-sister and a privileged honor-roll law school graduate who grew up in a two-parent home, but who is now searching for her own identity, on UPN's comedy series "Half & Half.” The series ran for four successful seasons while holding some of the network's highest ratings in its Monday 9:30pm time slot. "Half & Half” is currently in syndication nationwide.

Atkins is best known for her role as Yvette Henderson on "Smart Guy” and her recurring role as Marnie on "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.” She was a series regular on several television shows, including "Malibu Shores” and the critically acclaimed "Under One Roof” with James Earl Jones. Her many guest-starring roles include FOX's Emmy Award-winning show "House,” "The Class,” "Love Inc.,” "Moesha,” "For Your Love,” "The John Larroquette Show,” "The Wayans Bros.,” "The Parent'Hood,” "Family Matters” and "The Cosby Show.”

Atkins' film career includes the title role in the independent film "Nikita's Blues,” "Insecure” and "Preacher's Kid.” In addition, she starred with singer Monica in the MTV film "Love Song”; "How High” starring Redman and Method Man; "Deliver Us From Eva,” in which she co-starred with Gabrielle Union and LL Cool J; a co-starring role in the 2002 Houston Film Festival winner "Looking Through Lillian”; and "Love… & Other 4 Letter Words,” a festival favorite this year in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York and Cannes, starring Flex Alexander and Tangi Miller.
