As an actress, entrepreneur and designer, MARY-KATE OLSEN has established herself as one of the fashion and entertainment industries' most influential young women.

In 2008, Olsen garnered critical acclaim for her small role in The Wackness opposite Ben Kingsley. Her stand out performance was acknowledged by The New York Times as one of the "Performances to Watch” of 2008. In 2007, Mary-Kate was featured in an 8-episode arc on Showtime's Emmy nominated comedy, "Weeds.”

In 2006, Mary-Kate co-created The Row, a luxury brand, with her sister Ashley. The Row is named after London's "Savile Row,” which began its three-century history tailoring fine suits for English gentry and statesmen. The Row has already earned a reputation among a sophisticated female clientele and is worn by such actors as Lauren Hutton, Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow. The Row will debut a men's collection this Fall 2009. The collection is available in over eighty specialty stores worldwide.

Mary-Kate partnered with L'Koral Industries to introduce her first contemporary collection called Elizabeth and James in the Fall of 2007. In 2008, the brand expanded into jewelry with designer Robert Lee Morris and in Spring 2009, it will debut a shoe collection with designer Steve Madden. Elizabeth and James is created for the contemporary young woman and is sold in over 30 countries worldwide.

In January 2005, Mary-Kate took full ownership and assumed the role of co-president of Dualstar Entertainment Group, the 14-year old entertainment and lifestyle company. Dualstar Entertainment Group has products distributed in countries all over the world, including the United States, Canada, Australia, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and many more. With a skill for photography and a passion for its details, Mary-Kate brings her trained eye to Dualstar Entertainment Group, helping guide the development of its apparel, home décor, beauty and other product lines.

In April 2006, Mary-Kate along with Ashley debuted in Badgley Mischka's spring advertising campaign. This campaign marked her first partnership with a luxury fashion house and was the first time the designers featured actresses in their advertising.

Mary-Kate Olsen made her television debut at age nine months, sharing the role of Michelle Tanner on the ABC hit TV series "Full House” with her sister, Ashley. The two quickly established themselves as a dominant force in children's entertainment with the addition of numerous other television projects, home videos, feature films, books and musical albums, achieving unmatched results in each.

Mary-Kate's eclectic, trendsetting style has captured the attention of international magazines and was explored at length in the Sunday Styles section of The New York Times. Last year, Forbes magazine named both Mary-Kate and Ashley #5 on their list of the top 20 earners under the age of 25. In Time Magazine's Spring 2004 supplement, "Women in Fashion: Who's Got the Power?,” Mary-Kate and Ashley were collectively bestowed the #4 slot, just behind Burberry CEO Rose Marie Bravo, designer Miuccia Prada and Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Mary-Kate and Ashley were named "The Most Powerful Young Women in Hollywood” by The Hollywood Reporter, which for four years in a row also named them to its "Power 100” list of the most influential women in Hollywood. In April 2004, Mary-Kate and Ashley received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, becoming two of its youngest recipients ever.

Mary-Kate currently resides in New York and Los Angeles.
