ROSARIO DAWSON (Yardmaster Connie Hooper) has garnered praise for her numerous leading roles with today's hottest film actors and directors, making her one of Hollywood's most sought after leading ladies. Dawson received a Satellite Award for her performance as Mimi Marquez in the film "Rent.” She was honored again in 2007 at ShoWest, where she was named Supporting Actress of the Year. Dawson was recently awarded as Best Actress in a Motion Picture at the 2009 NAACP Image Awards for her performance in "Seven Pounds” (opposite Will Smith) and the Half-Life Award at the 2008 Cine Vegas International Film Festival alongside Don Cheadle, Viggo Mortensen and Sam Rockwell.

She appears in the MGM romantic comedy "Zookeeper” opposite Kevin James, Sylvester Stallone, Adam Sandler and Jon Favreau. Dawson teamed up again with "Rent” director Chris Columbus for the fantasy comedy "Percy Jackson,” in which she stars opposite Uma Thurman, Catherine Keener, and Pierce Brosnan. The film grossed $127 million worldwide. She also co-starred in the thriller "Eagle Eye” with Shia LaBeouf and Billy Bob Thornton for Paramount/ Dreamworks, and starred in John Madden's "Killshot,” based on the best-selling crime novel alongside Mickey Rourke, Diane Lane and Johnny Knoxville.

In 2008, Dawson starred in the political drama "Explicit Ills,” which premiered at SXSW Film Festival. The film received praise from critics as well as three awards including the Audience Award at the festival.

Dawson worked with Quentin Tarantino on "Grindhouse,” a joint venture consisting of two feature films, one directed by Tarantino and the other by Robert Rodriguez. "Death Proof,” Quentin Tarantino's half of the double feature, was chosen as an in competition film for the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and has continued its success overseas.

Dawson starred in and produced "Descent” for director Talia Lugacy. This was Dawson's first self produced feature film under her production banner, Trybe Films. "Descent” premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival to rave reviews.

Soon she will be teaming up again with directors Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez to reprise her role as Gail in the highly anticipated sequel "Sin City 2.”

Other credits include Kevin Smith's "Clerks 2,” Dito Montiel's "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints,” Oliver Stone's epic "Alexander” (as part of an all-star cast including Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins, and Jared Leto), the action-comedy "Rundown,” the dramas "Shattered Glass” and "Chelsea Walls,” the indies "This Girl's Life” and "Love in the Time of Money,” Spike Lee's "25th Hour” and "He Got Game,” Men in Black 2,” "The Adventures of Pluto Nash,” Ed Burns' "Sidewalks of New York” and "Ash Wednesday,” "The First $20 Million is Always the Hardest,” "Light it Up,” "Down to You,” "Josie and the Pussycats,” and her motion picture debut "Kids.”

Dawson also produced a 15-minute short film entitled "Bliss Virus,” written and directed by Talia Lugacy and hopes to produce Lugacy's first feature sometime in the near future.
