RAAD RAWI (Munem) is of Iraqi and Russian extraction and spent his formative years in Cairo, Paris and Geneva before studying economics in California. He switched to drama and trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His extensive theatre credits include classical and modern plays at the National Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre and London's West End, such as "King Lear,” "Electra,” "Bombay Dreams” and "Stuff Happens,” David Hare's play on the lead-up to the Iraq war. Television appearances include "Murphy's Law,” "Wire in the Blood,” "Spooks,” "MI-5” and "Silent Witness.”

Rawi's recent films include "The Kingdom,” "Traitor” and "Green Zone.”
