SEVEN DAYS IN UTOPIA

KATHY BAKER (Mabel) Kathy Baker will next be seen co-starring in a string of upcoming feature films including MACHINE GUN PREACHER, directed by Marc Forster and starring Gerard Butler; and TAKE SHELTER, directed by Jeff Nichols and winner of the Grand Prix Nespresso Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival; and EVERYBODY LOVES WHALES, directed by Ken Kwapis and starring Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski. She will soon start production on THE PARTY IS OVER, an independent feature that her son, Julian Camillieri, wrote. Baker is also producing.

Baker's additional film credits include the following: MISS NOBODY; LAST CHANCE HARVEY; SHADES OF RAY; THE JANE AUSTIN BOOK CLUB; ALL THE KING'S MEN, directed by Steven Zaillian; NINE LIVES directed by Rodrigo Garcia; 13 GOING ON 30; COLD MOUNTAIN, ASSASINATION TANGO; THE GLASS HOUSE; A LITTLE INSIDE; the Academy Award-winning film THE CIDER HOUSE RULES; TO GILLIAN ON HER 37th BIRTHDAY; EDWARD SCISSORHANDS; MISTER FROST; DAD; JACKNIFE; CLEAN AND SOBER; and STREET SMART. She made her film debut in Philip Kaufman's THE RIGHT STUFF. Baker is currently starring with Treat Williams in the new Lifetime series, "Against the Wall.” She will also soon be seen reprising her role in the eighth installment of the hit Jesse Stone franchise for CBS, "Jesse Stone: No Remorse.” Additional television credits include recurring roles on "Medium,” "Grey's Anatomy,” "Nip/Tuck,” the TNT series "Bull,” as well as guest starring roles on "Law & Order” and "Saving Grace” among others. Baker has earned three Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and the Screen Actor's Guild Award for her work on the CBS television series "Picket Fences.” She was also nominated for back-to-back Emmys for her guest performances on "Touched by an Angel” and "Boston Public.”

Baker's made-for-television movie credits include HBO's Emmy-nominated "Too Big To Fail” directed by Curtis Hanson, "Babylon Fields,” "Fathers and Sons,” "Spring Break Shark Attack,” Spike Lee's Showtime feature "Sucker Free City,” "Picking Up & Dropping Off,” "A Family's Decision,” TNT's "Door to Door,” for which she earned a 2003 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress, "Sanctuary,” "Murphy's Dozen,” CBS's mini-series "Shake, Rattle & Roll: An American Love Story,” "Not in This Town,” "Lush Life,” and "Nobody's Child.”

A veteran of the stage, Baker originated the role of May in Sam Shepard's Fool for Love, and, at the playwright's request, took the part to New York along with co-star Ed Harris. Baker's performance of the role earned her an Obie Award. Additional stage credits include roles in productions including Desire Under the Elms, Aunt Dan and Lemon, William Friedkin's A Man from Nebraska, and Claudia Weill's Memory House.

Baker currently resides in Los Angeles.
