GRETA GERWIG (Lola) has emerged in just a short time as one of Hollywood's most engaging actresses. She can currently be seen in Whit Stillman's comedy DAMSELS IN DISTRESS, co-starring Adam Brody. Next, Gerwig will appear in Woody Allen's TO ROME WITH LOVE, co-starring Penélope Cruz and Ellen Page.

Gerwig received wide critical acclaim for her breakout role as Florence in Noah Baumbach's GREENBERG, starring opposite Ben Stiller. She was nominated in the Breakthrough category at the Gotham Awards and Best Female Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards. She followed this success with a lead role in the comedy ARTHUR, opposite Russell Brand and Helen Mirren. She also played a supporting role in the romantic comedy NO STRINGS ATTACHED, opposite Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.

A darling of the independent film scene, Gerwig's prior credits include Ti West's "arthouse horror film” HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, the Duplass brothers' genre-bender BAGHEAD and Mary Bronstein's YEAST. She has twice collaborated with director and actor Joe Swanberg, first on HANNA TAKES THE STAIRS, and then for NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS, which she also co-wrote and co-directed.

Gerwig is a magna cum laude graduate of Barnard College. She makes her home in New York City.
