THE WORDS
BRIAN KLUGMAN and LEE STERNTHAL made their directorial debut with The Words,
which they also wrote, on the closing night of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
The film, which stars Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Irons, Olivia Wilde
and Dennis Quad, will be released by CBS Films on September 7th, 2012.
In 2010,
the duo received story-by credit on the hugely successful Tron: Legacy, which
went on to gross over $400 million worldwide. Currently, Klugman and Sternthal
are writers and executive producers on an adaptation of the epic cyber-punk
novel When Gravity Fails by George Alec Effinger. George Zakk and Mark Canton
are attached to produce with IM Global financing and Scott Derrickson directing.
Currently, they are adapting the Dark Horse comic Rex Mundi for Warner Bros.,
Infinitum Nihil and Riche Productions, with Allen Hughes attached to direct.
Klugman and Sternthal were born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Friends since age 11, they have been working together for over a decade. Both
are graduates of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and as an actor, Klugman has
appeared in over 40 films and
television series.
