M.C. GAINEY (Hoyt) is a veteran character actor who has appeared in more than 200 television shows and movies over the last thirty years. A native of the Deep South, Gainey's imposing size, trademark handlebar mustache, and "honest" face have allowed him to portray a wide variety of convicts, cowboys, and killers.

Gainey's long television career, from Happy Days and Dynasty, to Justified and Enlightened, encompasses every genre. His recurring roles on shows like Designing Women (T.Tommy Reed), Briscoe County (Big Smith), LOST (Tom Friendly), and Justified (Bo Crowder), have stamped him as a "career criminal" of every stripe.

Gainey's film career runs from lighthearted kid pics such as The Mighty Ducks, Country Bears, Tangled, and Are We There Yet?, to adult comedies Wild Hogs, Beerfest, and The Dukes of Hazzard. He also has been featured in blood-splattered thrillers including Breakdown, Geronimo and Wonderland. HE had a pivotal role in the action thriller Con Air, and has been reunited with the director Simon West and Nicolas Cage on STOLEN.

Gainey appeared in indie film hits Sideways, Happy Texas, and Love Ranch. He will soon be seen in Haunted High School, Babymakers, and director Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.

While Gainey's characters have usually wound up jailed, stabbed, blown up, eaten alive by wolves, or gunned down by generations of cops, he jumped at the chance to play the character Hoyt in STOLEN, as he proclaims, "Crime does make strange and wonderful bedfellows."
