LESLIE MANN (Debbie)
Mann's comedic timing and standout performances captivate audiences and critics alike. Mann received a Chicago Film Critics Association Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her standout performance inKNOCKED UP. She most recently completed production on Sofia Coppola'sTHE BLING RING, with Emma Watson. Inspired by actual events, the film follows a group of fame-obsessed Los Angeles teenagers who track celebrities' whereabouts on the Internet to burglarize their homes.
Earlier this year, Mann continued her voice performance work in PARANORMAN, an animated, stop-motion 3D film from the team behind 2009's Oscar-nominated CORALINE, including writer/director Chris Butler, Focus Features and Laika. Mann previously lent her voice as Linda, the main human character in Carlos Saldanha's animated blockbuster RIO, which garnered more than $486 million worldwide and also featured the voices of Jamie Foxx and Anne Hathaway. In addition, Mann is currently recording a character for DreamWorks Animation's MR. PEABODY & SHERMAN.
Last year, Mann starred opposite Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman in David Dobkin'sTHE CHANGE-UP. In 2009, shewas seen in the indie hitI LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS,alongside Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. The film premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and, upon release, was met with critical acclaim, including a nomination for a Broadcast Film Critics Association Award in the Best Comedy category. She also starred in Judd Apatow's FUNNY PEOPLE, with Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill, which was named on many of the top-10 lists of the year, including those of THE NEW YORKER and THE NEW YORK TIMES.
Among her other feature film credits are17 AGAIN, BIG DADDY, LITTLE BIRDS, GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE, THE CABLE GUY, TIMECODE, SHE'S THE ONE, DRILLBIT TAYLOR, ORANGE COUNTY and THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN.
Mann and her husband, Judd Apatow, are longtime supporters of the nonprofit organization 826LA, which focuses on encouraging disadvantaged youths by developing their writing skills. They are also involved with Stuart House, established by the Rape Treatment Center, which serves the needs of sexually abused children and their families. Mann and Apatow's philanthropic contributions were honored earlier this year with the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program's 2012 Children's Choice Award, for their work with children and their families who are dealing with pediatric cancer. In 2009, the couple was also recognized by the Fulfillment Fund, which honored them at its annual benefit gala.
Mann, Apatow and their two daughters currently reside in Los Angeles.
