ALICE ENGLERT (Lena Duchannes) received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2012 British Independent Film Awards for her role alongside Elle Fanning, Annette Bening and Christina Hendricks in Sally Potter's '60s drama GINGER AND ROSA, which received a nomination for Best Film at the 2012 London Film Festival.
Englert will next be seen starring with Josh Hartnett in Roland Joffe's SINGULARITY, an 18th century epic about romance across time, and the thriller IN FEAR, which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
At 11 years old, Englert made her first film appearance in 8, an eight-part feature exploring eight directors' takes on different environmental issues, which premiered at Cannes in 2006. Englert's mother, film visionary Jane Campion, wrote and directed the segment portraying a drought, "The Water Diary," in which Englert starred.
