Acclaimed actress and producer VIVICA A. FOX (Helene Landy) was born in South Bend, Ind. The youngest of four siblings, she excelled as a star athlete in high school. After graduating, she moved to California to attend Golden West College and pursue acting and modeling.

Fox's break came in the late 1980s, when she was "discovered" by a producer while eating lunch on Sunset Blvd. After debuting in soap operas and sitcoms, she went on to captivate audiences on stage, television and film. Her diverse credits include blockbuster movies KILL BILL: VOL. 1, INDEPENDENCE DAY and SOUL FOOD, HBO hit series Curb Your Enthusiasm, Cartoon Network's New Scooby Doo and Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva.

Fox has been honored with several awards, including the prestigious NAACP Spirit Award, the NAACP Image Award, the Lady of Soul Lena Horne Career Achievement Award, the Prism Award, the Trumpet Award and an MTV Movie Award. She was also voted one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People.
