SELENA GOMEZ (The Kid) is an American actress and singer. She recently finished shooting two films: the comedy "Behaving Badly," alongside Mary-Louse Parker, Elisabeth Shue, Heather Graham, Cary Elwes and Dylan McDermott; and William H. Macy's drama "Rudderless," in which he also stars, alongside Gomez and Laurence Fisbhurne.

Her other film credits include "Spring Breakers," "Monte Carlo" and "Ramona and Beezus" and she also lent her voice to the recent animated hit "Hotel Transylvania."

On television, Gomez is best known for portraying Alex Russo in the Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie," which became the Emmy Award-winning television series "Wizards of Waverly Place," in which she reprised the popular role. She subsequently starred in the television movies "Another Cinderella Story," "Princess Protection Program" and, most recently, "The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex."

As a musician, Gomez signed a deal with Hollywood Records right before her 16th birthday. Her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, released three RIAA Gold-certified studio albums; three RIAA Platinum-certified singles, "Naturally, " "Who Says" and "Love You Like a Song"; and charted four No.1 Billboard Hot Dance Club songs.

In April, Gomez released the new single "Come and Get It" from her debut solo album, "Stars Dance." Both the lead single and album reached number one on the charts. Gomez is currently on the road with her Stars Dance World Tour.

In 2008, Gomez was designated a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
