JON TURTELTAUB (Director), whose action adventure blockbusters have grossed over $1 billion in worldwide box office, has also become of Hollywood's premiere directors of powerful and emotional films.

Nominated for the Directors Guild of America's Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television Award for the successful mini-series From Earth To The Moon, Turteltaub is a prolific director and producer of both television and film.

Through his partnership with the Walt Disney Company, Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Actor Nicolas Cage, Turteltaub has directed three action adventure hits: National Treasure and National Treasure: Book of Secrets, which grossed a combined $800 million in worldwide box office: and The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which grossed over $200 million worldwide.

He has captured audiences' attention with such critically acclaimed dramas, comedies and romantic comedies as The Kid with Bruce Willis, Instinct starring Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr., Phenomenon with John Travolta, Cool Runnings, While You Were Sleeping starring Sandra Bullock and 3 Ninjas.

For television, Turteltaub directed the seventh episode of the series That's All There Is, which portrayed the camaraderie of the crew of Apollo 12. He executive produced and directed the CBS hit Jericho -- a groundbreaking show that made television history when a grassroots fan- campaign kept the series on the air for an additional season.

He also directed and executive produced the CBS thriller Harper's Island and recently directed the pilot for CBS' Common Law, which debuted last summer.

The native New Yorker, who was raised in Beverly Hills, is the son of Television Writer/Producer Saul Turteltaub, known for Sanford & Son, What's Happening, That Girl and Love, American Style.

Turteltaub received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and his Masters degree from the USC School of Cinema and Television.
