A graduate of the American Film Institute, SHANA FESTE (Screenplay by/Directed by) was named one of Variety's 10 Directors to Watch and one of Filmmaker magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent Film. Feste was nominated for a Humanitas Prize for her first feature, The Greatest, which she wrote and directed. Starring Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan, Oscar winner Susan Sarandon and Pierce Brosnan, the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009 and was released by Paladin in 2010. Country Strong was Feste's second directorial effort to be released that year, after she wrote the original screenplay. Released by Screen Gems, the film starred Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, Garrett Hedlund, Tim McGraw and Leighton Meester.
