An actor, writer, producer and director, SETH ROGEN (Mac Radner/Produced by) has emerged as a prominent figure in a new generation of multi-hyphenates who have the ability to generate their own materials. Rogen made his co-directorial debut last summer with Evan Goldberg in Sony Pictures' apocalyptic comedy This Is the End. The film starred Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson and Jonah Hill and was produced through Rogen's Point Grey Pictures, which he runs with lifelong friend and writing partner Goldberg. The movie grossed more than $100 million worldwide and was nominated for a Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Comedy.

In 2011, Rogen starred in and executive produced the dramatic comedy 50/50, inspired by the real-life experiences of his best friend, Will Reiser, who also wrote the screenplay. With an all-star cast that included Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anjelica Huston, this heartwarming film went on to win over audiences and critics alike and was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards. The film earned a National Board of Review Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Rogen began his career doing stand-up comedy in Vancouver, Canada, at the age of 13. After moving to Los Angeles, Rogen landed supporting roles in Judd Apatow's two critically acclaimed network television comedies, Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared. Rogen, who was 18 at the time, was also hired as a staff writer for the latter. In 2005, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program for Da Ali G Show. Shortly after, Rogen was guided by Apatow toward a film career, first with the smash hit The 40-Year-Old Virgin, which opened at No. 1 at the box office and remained there for two weekends in a row. The film went on to gross more than $177 million worldwide and helped put Rogen on the map as a film star. The film was named one of the 10 Most Outstanding Motion Pictures of the Year by the American Film Institute and took home Best Comedy Movie at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards in 2006. Rogen also co-produced the film.

Rogen headlined two summer blockbusters in 2007. First, he starred in Apatow's Knocked Up, opposite Katherine Heigl, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, which grossed more than $140 million domestically and was distributed by Universal Pictures. Rogen was also an executive producer. Shortly thereafter, Rogen co-starred in Superbad, a semi-autobiographical comedy, that he co-wrote and executive produced with Goldberg. The film grossed more than $121 million domestically for Sony Pictures. Rogen and Goldberg found success again the following summer with the action-comedy Pineapple Express. Rogen starred opposite Franco and McBride in the No. 1 box-office hit, which went on to make more than $100 million worldwide for Sony Pictures.

Rogen continued to demonstrate his wide-ranging ability as he co-wrote, executive produced and starred as the main character, Britt Reid, in the action film The Green Hornet, opposite Academy Award-winning actor Christoph Waltz. The film grossed more than $227 million worldwide and opened at No. 1 in more than 25 territories, including the United States.

In addition to his on-screen roles, Rogen has also found great success lending his voice to animated films. In 2011, he voiced the title character in the comedy Paul, alongside Kristen Wiig and Jason Bateman. He also voiced the character Mantis in 2008's Kung Fu Panda, alongside Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman and Angelina Jolie. The Academy Award-nominated film earned more than $626 million worldwide. Rogen reprised his role as the sarcastic insect in the film's 2011 sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2.

Rogen is currently in postproduction on The Interview for Sony Pictures, which he co-directed alongside Goldberg. In The Interview, Dave Skylark (Franco) is king of the celebrity interview and host of the hit nighttime talk show Skylark Tonight. The brain behind Dave's empire is his producer and best friend, Aaron Rapoport (Rogen). Unfulfilled, Aaron yearns to do meaningful work. He scores the chance of a lifetime when he secures an interview for Dave with the mysterious and ruthless dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un. As Dave and Aaron prepare to leave for North Korea, they are approached by the CIA and asked to assassinate him. They accept the mission, becoming two of the least-qualified men ever to assassinate, or interview, the most dangerous man on Earth. The Interview releases wide on October 10.

Rogen currently resides in Los Angeles.
