The filmography for FEDOR BONDARCHUK (actor, director, producer, television host) as an actor includes more than 60 movie appearances in such motion pictures as In Action, Friends (original title "Svoi"), The 9th Company, State Councilor, The Inhabited Island, In the Grip, Two Days, White Guard and The Spy. He is also the founder of Art Pictures Studio company, a founder of Glavkino and Kinocity companies, and chairman of the board of Lenfilm film studio.

In 2005, Fedor Bondarchuk released his debut work as a director: The 9th Company. The Afghan war drama became a top-grossing film, received national academy awards, and became the Russian nominee for the Academy Award (Best Foreign Language Film).

In 2006, Heat (original title: "ZhaRa"), directed by Rezo Gigineishvili, was released. It was a project of Art Pictures Studio company and Fedor Bondarchuk. The low-budget youth comedy earned $16.5 million throughout its theatrical distribution and became the most cost-efficient film of the year.

In 2006, Fedor Bondarchuk obtained Boris Strugatsky's adaptation rights for The Inhabited Island novella. Bondarchuk was director, producer and one of the key actors. The film, which became one of the most discussed premieres of the year, was released in two parts: The Inhabited Island and The Inhabited Island: Skirmish. It grossed more than $30 million.

Bondarchuk is also chairman of the board of trustees of the Open Russian Film Festival Kinotavr, a member of the Russian Academy of Cinema Arts, Nika, and a member of the Russian National Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, The Golden Eagle.
