Born and raised in Virginia, SKEET ULRICH was discovered in a stage production at New York University by David Mamet. Ulrich worked as an apprentice to the legendary writer and director at the acclaimed Atlantic Theater Company, performing in a number of the company's productions, including Reckless and Hedda Gabler. Ulrich's transition to movies came courtesy of film director, Stacey Cochran, who cast him in the ABC After School

Special, Same Difference, and subsequently in her writing/directing debut, Boys.

On television, Ulrich made his mark in the award-winning Steven Spielberg TNT miniseries Into the West, alongside Josh Brolin and Keri Russell. Ulrich starred for two seasons as Jake Green in the CBS drama Jericho, and starred in Dick Wolf's iconic franchise Law & Order: Los Angeles as detective Rex Winters, a former Marine with the intuition of a natural cop.

Ulrich starred alongside Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne and Jean Reno in Sony Screen Gems' box-office hit Armored, directed by Nimrod Antal. Ulrich played Dobbs, an armored-truck company employee who is involved in a major heist.

His past film credits include Jim Brooks' critically acclaimed film As Good As It Gets, Ang Lee's Civil War-era drama Ride With the Devil, and a breakout role in Wes Craven's hit horror film Scream. Additionally, he appeared in The Newton Boys, The Craft, Nobody's Baby, Albino Alligator, Chill Factor, Soul Assassin, Anasazi Moon, Takedown, Kevin of the North, A Soldier's Sweetheart, Last Dance and Boys.

Ulrich comes from a long line of NASCAR pioneers, including his uncle and NASCAR great, Ricky Rudd. Having spent more than 35 years in racing, Ulrich's mother founded the NASCAR public relations agency Sports Management Group. Ulrich's brother, Geoff Ulrich, continues the tradition, now working for Speedway Motorsports, Inc., which owns and operates eight first-class speedways, including the Texas Motor Speedway. Ulrich's son, Jakob, is a driver in Bandoleros, the NASCAR primer for young drivers. Ulrich is proud to call Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus his good friends and continues to be an avid fan of the sport.
