JEFF NICHOLS (Director/Writer) previously wrote and directed the internationally acclaimed features "Shotgun Stories," "Take Shelter" and "Mud."

"Shotgun Stories" earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination, the Grand Jury Prize at the Seattle and Austin Film Festivals, and the International Jury Prize at the 2007 Viennale.

Following a 2011 Sundance Film Festival premiere, "Take Shelter" took honors at Cannes, including the Critics Week Grand Prize and five Independent Spirit nominations; and in 2013, Nichols received the Independent Spirit nomination for his direction on the Robert Altman Award-winner "Mud," one of the highest grossing independent films of the year.

He is currently in post-production on his next feature, the drama "Loving," which he wrote and directed, and which reunites him with "Midnight Special" stars Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton.

Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Nichols is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking, and is a current resident of Austin
