Ralph Fiennes was nominated for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award for his roles in both The English Patient and Schindler's List, winning the BAFTA for Actor in a Supporting Role for the latter. He was also nominated for BAFTA Awards for his performances in The End of an Affair and Focus Features' The Constant Gardener; and was nominated for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for portraying M. Gustave in The Grand Budapest Hotel.

His many film credits also include The Reader, Quiz Show, Oscar and Lucinda, Onegin, Spider, Sunshine, Strange Days, and The Hurt Locker. He portrayed Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies and played the role of M in the James Bond films Skyfall and Spectre. He was most recently seen starring in A Bigger Splash and Hail, Caesar!

Mr. Fiennes made his feature film directorial debut in 2011 with Coriolanus, for which he received a BAFTA Award nomination. In 2013, he directed and starred in The Invisible Woman.

His extensive theater credits include Man and Superman, Oedipus, Faith Healer, Brand, Richard II, Coriolanus, Ivanov, and Hamlet. Earlier in 2016, Mr. Fiennes starred in The Master Builder at The Old Vic; and in Richard III at the Almeida Theatre, with the latter production inaugurating the Almeida's live broadcasts into movie theaters.
