
THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART
CHRIS PRATT (Emmet / Rex Dangervest) has firmly secured himself as one of
Hollywood's most sought-after leading men. Pratt most recently returned to the
wildly popular
role of Owen in "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" on June 22, 2018. In 2015, he
headlined
"Jurassic World," the fifth-highest-grossing film of all time.
Earlier in 2018, Pratt appeared in Marvel smash hit "Avengers: Infinity War,"
which has
grossed over $2 billion at the global box office, ranking as the 4th highest
grossing film of all time.
Prior to that, the Star Lord toplined Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy," one of
the top three
highest grossing films of 2014 with over $770 million at the global box office.
Its sequel,
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" outpaced every other film that opened in the
summer of 2017
and trumped the first installment's box office with over $860 million worldwide.
In 2016, Pratt starred in the sci-fi romance "Passengers," opposite Jennifer
Lawrence for
the Oscar-nominated director of "The Imitation Game," Morten Tyldum. He
additionally appeared
in "The Magnificent Seven," opposite Denzel Washington for director Antoine
Fuqua. The film
opened the 2016 Toronto Film Festival and closed the 2016 Venice Film Festival.
2015 marked the end of the seventh and final season of the Emmy-nominated series
"Parks & Recreation," for which Pratt is perhaps best known for portraying the
character Andy
Dwyer, opposite Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, and Adam Scott.
His other notable film credits include: the enormously successful animated
feature "The
LEGO Movie," which made over $400 million worldwide; the comedy "Delivery Man";
Spike
Jonze's critically acclaimed "Her"; and the comedy feature "The Five-Year
Engagement."
In 2012, Pratt portrayed a member of the iconic SEAL Team Six in Kathryn
Bigelow's "Zero
Dark Thirty," which was nominated for Best Picture for both the Golden Globe and
Academy
Awards.
In 2011, Pratt starred in "Moneyball," where he delivered a memorable
performance as
the Oakland A's first baseman, Scott Hatteberg. The film also starred Brad Pitt,
Jonah Hill and
Philip Seymour Hoffman and received six Academy Award nominations, including a
nomination
for Best Picture.
In addition to acting, Chris includes among his other passions hunting, fishing,
and writing.
