FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY
With film revenues exceeding 4 billion worldwide, DWAYNE JOHNSON (himself) has
solidified himself as a global box-office powerhouse in both film and
television.
Always adding to his busy schedule, Johnson shows no signs of slowing down. He
can
be currently seen in NBC Universal and Seven Bucks Productions' Titan Games,
where
everyday people are offered the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in
epic head-to-head
challenges designed to test the mind, body and heart. This past year, Johnson
has starred in
the fourth season of the HBO show Ballers directed by Peter Berg (August 12,
2108),
Legendary's Skyscraper, released in July 2018 (July 13, 2018), and New Line
Cinema's
Rampage, released in April 2018 (April 20, 2018). Johnson's upcoming projects
include
Johnson and Seven Bucks Productions' biography, comedy-drama Fighting with My
Family in
which Johnson has a cameo role; the Fast and Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw,
where
Johnson stars opposite of Jason Statham; and the Untitled Jumanji: Welcome to
the Jungle
Sequel.
In 2020, Johnson and Seven Bucks Productions will partner with Disney to produce
Jungle Cruise, based on the hit theme park ride where safari guides, played by
Emily Blunt and
Johnson, take a group of travelers on a journey filled with dangerous animals.
Adding to his
2020 slate, Johnson will produce and star in Red Notice, directed by Rawson
Marshall Thurber.
Although the release date has yet to be announced, Netflix has acquired the
rights to the
film, John Henry and The Statesmen, directed by Jake Kasdan and produced by
Seven Bucks
Productions and FlynnPicture Co, in which Johnson will produce and star as John
Henry who
leads an ensemble cast of the world's most popular figures of folklore.
Johnson has garnered much critical acclaim and recognition for his range and
diverse
roles. Recently, he earned a spot in the 2018 Variety500. In December 2017,
Johnson received
his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Johnson was also named NAACP's
"Entertainer
of the Year" and People's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2016.
