MATT TYRNAUER (Director/Producer) is a writer, director, producer, award-winning journalist, and partner/co-founder of Altimeter Films, whose films include VALENTINO: THE LAST EMPEROR, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and was short-listed for an Academy Award for best documentary feature; STUDIO 54, about the famed New York City nightclub that became a cultural phenomenon; SCOTTY AND THE SECRET HISTORY OF HOLLYWOOD, about the secret history of sex in Hollywood in the pre-Stonewall era; CITIZEN JANE: BATTLE FOR THE CITY; and JEAN NOUVEL: REFLECTIONS.

Tyrnauer's upcoming projects include the dramatic adaptation of his Vanity Fair article "Once Upon a Time in Beverly Hills" with Amazon, the dramatic adaptation of SCOTTY AND THE SECRET HISTORY OF HOLLYWOOD with Fox Searchlight, the dramatic adaptation of CITIZEN JANE with Participant Media, and HOME, a multi-part documentary series for Apple.

As a journalist, Tyrnauer has written for Vanity Fair, where he was editor-at-large and special correspondent. His work has also appeared in other publications including GQ, The New York Times, Architectural Digest, L'Uomo Vogue, and Numero.
